YOU CAN HELP SUPPORT A GOOD THING!

Our partners and funders enable our good work by providing river access, equipment and programming for safe, fun, educational and guided experiences on Alberta rivers and creeks.

RiverWatch Institute of Alberta operates with subsidized user-fees, and our funders help us acquire necessary equipment and keep our fees affordable for all participants. Your donation can help create one-of-a-kind learning opportunities that emphasize the importance of our rivers and citizen science.  We often hear from adults that …

  • “We never did anything like this when we were kids!”
  • “Everyone should have this opportunity!”

You can help make good things happen through your gift that makes memorable watershed experiences possible for Albertans of all walks of life.   By investing in experiential learning, citizen science and solid partnerships, you can help us move closer to a future where all Albertans have an opportunity to know first-hand “How healthy are our creeks and rivers?”

  • Equipping people with knowledge, skills, and motivation helps catalyze their action and inspires others.
  • Your gift can help advance world-class watershed education and outreach to all Albertans.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Supporting RiverWatch Institute of Alberta

Your donation creates one-of-a-kind learning opportunities and student scientists who learn first-hand about the importance of our rivers. Since 1995, thanks to the support of donors like you, RiverWatch has grown to become the most widely used and in-depth environmental field study offered to Alberta secondary science students. We started our first year with 600 students and now impact approximately 10,000 students from across Alberta each year. The success of the award-winning RiverWatch Science Program has meant that more than 100,000 young people are now more science literate through this one-of-a-kind learning opportunity. Donor contributions are significant and help to ensure that fees are widely affordable to participating families.

Thank you for your contribution to keep us on-the-road and on-the-river! We are able to issue official tax receipts for donations of $75 or greater amounts. Donations go towards funding needs that include:
